Heart Attack Runs in India
The Uncomfortable Truth

The Leading Cause of Death Is Not Cancer.

Most people believe cancer is India's biggest killer. It is not. Heart attacks are the #1 cause of death, in India and worldwide. And here's the paradox: up to 90% of heart attacks are preventable.

The Scale of the Crisis

The numbers behind the world's leading killer

21 Million
Deaths from heart disease globally, every year
56,164 lives lost every single day
4.5 Million
Heart attack deaths in India per year
13,068 every day, yet largely preventable
80–100
Heart attacks per day in Hyderabad alone
100–200 angioplasty procedures daily
Despite being the world's #1 killer, heart attacks receive a fraction of the awareness dedicated to other diseases. We are here to change that — through every run, every screening, every life we rehabilitate.

The Solution

Cardiac Rehab: The Missing Link

Cardiac Rehabilitation is a WHO Class 1A recommended program — the highest possible evidence level — proven to strengthen hearts, prevent repeat attacks, and save lives. Yet in India, it is practically zero.

90% of heart attacks are preventable with proper awareness and cardiac rehabilitation. The Cardiac Rehab Foundation is India's first and only advanced Cardiac Rehab centre — physician-supervised, exercise-based, and life-changing.

“After my Heart Attack and Angioplasty, I was fearful about my future and my family. But today I am a runner and have completed around 60 runs in the last 2 years.”

60+ runs completed post heart attack.
Arul Ananda Rao, 55
